Salem Convention Center The Elliker Cheese Tray has been the Oregon Dairy Industries signature social event for industry members and friends for many decades. Every year our Cheese Tray Committee puts together a collection of domestic, imported, and artisan cheeses. All the cheeses are accompanied with appropriate beverage choices, condiments and accompaniments. The cheeses come from local, domestic and foreign makers. The milks used to produce them are given freely by goats, cows, sheep and maybe even a few water buffalo. Whether you’re enjoying an old favorite or meeting a new-found friend, you will have a chance to vote for your three top cheeses. The winners will be awarded 1st, 2nd, or 3rd prize in the “Peoples Choice Award.” Remember to bid early and often in the silent auction(s) so you can take home a cheese party of your own! The Elliker Cheese Tray is the perfect ending to our ODI Annual Conference. Come to the conference. Stay for the fun! The Auction Committee takes these cheeses, beer and other items and ends up with dozens of delicious baskets for the silent auction. Proceeds from the event will go to increase the Bodyfelt Scholarship Endowment which supports students studying dairy food science at OSU. Soft and wonderful music is provided throughout the event by LeeAnn Moos and Jayson Sheaux. The Cheese Tray is included in the 2-Day ODI Conference Registration and the Wednesday Only Conference Registration. Extra tickets can be purchased for guests for only $35. |
